Light and ventilated this helmet is made of high impact resistant ABS plastic. In inclimate weather there are special gutters to direct the rain away and off. Hot days, the sweatband will keep your eyes clear and the sun peak will shade them. The stainless steel mesh screen is on a ratchet system and will hold when you lift it up for your critical looks. The ear muffs are rated at a NRR value of 23db and have air flow control technology for optimum and consistent noise attenuation and enhanced communication. The ear cushions are replaceable and snap in easily. Holding the entire unit on your head is a 6 point suspension with ratcheting adjustment. Meets the Following Standards: Screen Z87.1-2003; Ear Muffs CE EN352; Helmet ANSI Z89.1-2003 Type 1 Class C.

Has kept my head safe and sound. Helmet is comfortable and light weight. Only gripe is the suspension system occasionally becomes unhooked from the helmet upon removal.
