Proper fit online a little tough

Had some trouble getting the right size. I Ordered an XL that was a little too small. I thought it would be, but the size chart said it should fit. I returned it for a 2XL and got an L in a 2XL box. Just received the new, new, new 2XL.

The good news is that the returns were a breeze, and free. I can't blame anyone as fitting a helmet online is, well, just a pain. I tried going to local bike shops in Denver to try one on, but no one carries this helmet.

Why all the fuss? This is a ton of helmet for the money. After a recent bike crash I started thinking about my gear a little more and decided I wanted a helmet that was as safe as I could afford. I found out that a DOT sticker means next to nothing. The Snell Memorial foundation has a rating system that I trust, but it is pass/fail. I was hoping for more data. SHARP, in the UK, had what I was looking for, a 5 star rating system, like Amazon! Their website tells you about how they test and rate helmets and gives you a list of manufacturers and helmet models, the cost and how they fared. For example, Arai makes helmets that run from 2 star to 4 star. My quest was to find a 5 star helmet without the Shoei price tag (up to 480 British pounds, $775!) This one filled the bill with a 5 star rating for $119 USD! Remember, models change all the time. Don't trust me, do your homework.

For me, a very comfortable helmet. Snug in all the right places, amazingly light. I'm hoping for good hot day performance with good air flow and white finish, but, being in Denver in December, I've got a while to wait for a warm weather!

This is a nice helmet

Just received my Helmet today, It fits perfectly. I have an egg shaped head and it is not tight in the front or rear. It feels like my Shoei. I cant wait to take it out for a ride to see how much wind noise there is. The helmet has an air dam under the chin and fits snugly around the bottom, I bet it will be pretty quite to ride in. This is a great helmet for the price and is one of the highest rated helmets using the newer SHARP rating system.

Beautiful, functional, confortable

This helmet is of the HIGHEST quality- Excellent cheek pads, VERY little wind noise, and incredibly comfortable to wear be it 20mph or 120mph (I like my throttle a lot) There is literally no complaint I have about this helmet. Packaging is very sharp, helmet bag is the best I've seen, and this helmet LOOKS fast. And for this price? I might just buy the other two versions! Probably best fitted for egg or oval shaped heads- I don't think round heads would like it too very much. Nose guard keeps the visor from fogging and there is adequate ventilation at all times. The ONLY thing I might like out of this helmet other than what I has is a double visor- but that would make it heavier so perhaps not. This helmet comes highly recommended to any and all riders.
